A Brief History of the Kelowna Ogopogo Radio Controllers Flying Club

The Club was incorporated as a registered BC Society in 1977, after operating since the 1960's as an informal group of modellers in the Kelowna area. The present membership comprises over 90 members (men/women/youth) ranging from ages 10 to 90 from all walks of life.

The model aircraft they fly are very diverse and include small electric & indoor models, all types of sport and scale aircraft, float planes, gliders, helicopters and multirotors.

For many years, KORC operated from a flying site near Sexsmith Road in Kelowna, then relocated to a flying site in Black Mountain Irrigation District for 20 years.

Present day we are operating from a field on Lodge Road in Lake Country.

You will find directions to the field and meeting locations under main menu item "About KORC" then under sub-menu item "Directions"
